Final preparations being made as US vice-president Mike Pence is expected to arrive in Ireland tomorrow




The final preparations are being put in place as the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is set to welcome the US vice-president Mike Pence on Tuesday.

In an official state visit the US vice-president will arrive in Dublin to meet the Taoiseach.

The meeting which has been moved forward from Friday, will see the pair hold discussions on a number of issues which will strengthen the ties between the two nations.

Vice-president Pence was expected to arrive in Ireland on Friday, however due to the expected arrival of hurricane Dorian the US President Donald Trump has been forced to cancel his trip to Poland.

It is expected that vice president Pence will arrive in Ireland after visiting Poland on President Trump’s behalf.
