Parents can now avail of further paternity leave under laws which have been introduced from this week.
Under the new laws which were passed by the Government earlier this year parents can now avail of four weeks extra unpaid parental leave.
The changes which will give parents of children aged 12 an option to take 22 weeks of leave instead of the original 18.
Parents will also be able to avail of a further four weeks from next September.
