Fine Gael are having a tough day in the Dublin Bay South constituency as party colleagues Kate O’Connell and Eoghan Murphy are battling to hold on to their seats.
During the last few months and years, Minister for Housing Eoghan Murphy has been trying to hold off serious criticism over the devastating housing crisis which has seen families and children in emergency accommodation.
As a result, he went into this election with a major cloud hanging over his head. Kate O’Connell is said to be the person most likely to lose out between the two but we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see which politician will be leaving the Dail.
