Out of the frying pan and into the fire, as they say, as Met Eireann has issued a Status Yellow warning for snow and ice in the immediate aftermath of Storm Ciara.
The warning, which covers the entirety of the country, will kick in at midnight tonight and remain in place until noon on Tuesday.
The national forecaster has forecast widespread wintry showers for Monday and Tuesday, with overnight temperatures hovering at 1-3C.
