Fine Gael has sunk to a record low in the polls, dropping a massive eight points, while Sinn Fein has surged very significantly.
Fine Gael’s approval now stands at a pitiful 15%, while Sinn Fein takes a commanding lead at 37%.
Notably, Sinn Fein actually won the last general election, but the victory was stolen by a coalition of Fianna Fail/Fine Gael and the Greens as a third wheel, in what amounted to a soft coup. Yet, no one in Ireland appears to be concerned that they’re being governed by an unelected, self-installed bunch.
