It’s understood that Fine Gael TD Maria Bailey is withdrawing her claim against a Dublin hotel over an incident that happened in 2015.
The Dun Laoghaire TD has been accused all last week of making an improper claim against the Dean Hotel in Dublin after she reportedly fell off an indoor swing.
It’s understood that Bailey hurt her hip and back from the fall in July 2015.
Social media users have been posting that rumours circulated that Bailey was saying that the swing was unsupervised, with many stating that she was an adult and should have known the risks to a swing never mind being on one in the first place.
Other social media users claimed that Bailey was seen jogging around her constituency after the incident occurred.
It’s understood tonight that Bailey is withdrawing her claim against the Dean Hotel.
