Fine Gael’s MEP “welcomes” the EU’s approval of controversial vaccine passports

The European Parliament has approved plans for so-called VAX PASSPORTS in a vote that saw 540 MEPs approve the controversial electronic tagging and segregation of Citizens belonging to the EU member countries.

119 MEP’s voted against the VAX Passports whilst 31 abstained.

Fine Gael’s MEP Deirdre McClune, a graduate in civil engineering and daughter of former TD Peter Barry said: “The plan is that this certificate will only be used for travel and only for the duration of the pandemic in order to ensure people are protected from Covid-19. It can help to facilitate people as they move and travel around Europe” reports Breakingnews.ie

The VAX Pass would show whether someone’s been vaccinated, tested negative or recently recovered from the virus and plans are already being developed for it’s rollout in Ireland.
