Finish Prime Minister Sanna Marin said on Wednesday that the country’s government will abandon plans to confine citizens to their homes in an intensified lockdown meant to stop the spread of the Chinese virus.
The roll back comes as following a statement from a constitutional law committee that deemed the proposal too vague and not in compliance with the constitution.
Marin said on Twitter:
“Because of the statement from the committee the government has decided we have to withdraw the proposal.”
This move comes as a growing number of European countries governments are being instructed to lift lockdowns as they are unconstitutional.
