Fire truck damaged while on duty in Limerick after youths throw missiles at it

A fire appliance was damaged while on duty in Limerick last night.

A crew was attending the scene of a bonfire in the Fairview Crescent area of the city when a gang of youths began throwing rocks at the truck, smashing one of its windows.

There were no personal injuries reported, by the truck had to be taken off service to be repaired.
