Authorities in Bangladesh have confirmed that five children have died and seventeen others have been injured after a gas cylinder exploded outside their school.
According to Bbnews24.com, the children were tragically killed when the cylinder which was being used to inflate balloons, exploded outside the school in Dhaka’s Rupnagar area.
It is believed that the cylinder was mounted on a tricycle rickshaw before it exploded.
Police investigating the incident say they are unsure what caused the cylinder to explode, but have confirmed that the vendor has been arrested.
They added that all of the victims who were killed in the incident were aged between 7 and 14.
