Gardaí in Co Louth have confirmed that five remain in custody this morning following an alleged kidnapping in Drogheda on Sunday night.
According to RTÉ News, the five men were arrested after the man aged in his 20s sustained serious injuries during an attack at house in the town on Sunday evening.
The news of the men’s arrests come after a series incidents occurred in the town over the past few days, with the most recent being a suspicious device being found near a car in the Dublin Road area of the town.
Gardaí say investigations into all incidents are currently ongoing.
