An avalanche in the Alps has taken the lives of five people with another person being injured.
According to Sky News, the avalanche took place in Spiss, an Austrian town that is close to the Swiss border in the Tyrol province.
The names of the five dead have not yet been released but a number of other people were injured in separate avalanches in an area that has seen heavy snowfall recently.
