Five people have been injured after a cruise ship crashed into a dock in the Italian city of Venice.
The MSC Opera ship smashed into a dock in the Giudecca Canal, at around 8.30am today.
The ship reportedly experienced a technical issue just as it was about to dock, and it was unable to slow down. The Opera rammed a smaller tourist boat during the accident.
City authorities have long called for the ban of large cruise ships docking within the city limits.
