Five people have been stabbed at a rabbi’s home in upstate New York.
The incident happened in the town of Monsey, about an hour northeast of the city.
It is understood that the perpetrator launched his attack as members of the local Jewish community gathered to celebrate Hannukah.
Two of the injured are believed to be in a critical condition, after being stabbed multiple times.
The attacker was apprehended by police.
The incident is being treated as a hate crime.
