This year’s X Factor hasn’t been smooth sailing for the contestants, judges or the presenters.
After Olly Murs made the mistake of announcing the deadlock loser before time and a mix up with video footage in the first leg of the final among other mix ups and mishaps, the audience have been left wondering if the show is all it’s cracked up to be.
Controversy surrounding Johnson’s win began after audience members came out and said that they were given torches to use before the start of the show. The controversial part? They were allegedly instructed to use them only for Johnson’s performance of the winners single, perhaps in a bid to create an atmosphere that would sway the vote in her favour.
“They gave out 10,000 torches in the two minute break between [Reggie ‘N’ Bollie] and Louisa? That’s dead speedy,” wrote one audience member on Twitter.
Now, attention has been building around a tweet sent out from winner Louisa Johnsons account a full two days before her win.
The tweet has since been deleted.
While it’s likely that the post was scheduled to go out on Tweet Deck with the wrong date, it did nothing more than fuel rumours that the show is in fact, a fix, especially after recent blunders and mishaps on the show regarding votes.
