Flight forced to make an emergency landing at Dublin Airport after engine catches fire




A flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Dublin Airport this afternoon after one of its engines caught fire.

It is that Aer Lingus EI115 flight which was travelling to Philadelphia was forced to turn back after a bird strike shortly after its departure at 1:10pm this afternoon.

Thankfully following consultation with Dublin Airport traffic control the flight safely landed at the Airport.

Meanwhile Dublin Airport have since confirmed that the scheduled flight has now been cancelled.
