Pilots of Germam airline Lufthansa begin two further days of strike action today – grounding all short-haul flights, including those between Dublin and Frankfurt & Munich. Tomorrow long-haul services will also be hit.
Attempts by Lufthansa to issue a temporary injunction to prevent the strike action was rejected by a Munich court last night.
The ongoing pay dispute has cost the German carrier hundreds of millions of euros since early 2014.
Last week, Lufthansa were forced to cancel around 2,800 flights during a four-day walkout from Wednesday affecting over 350,000 passengers.
