
Flights departing Dublin Airport for the east coast of the United States are experiencing delays as a result of severe snowstorms.
The disruption is mainly impacting flights to destinations including New York and Washington DC, reports Breaking News.
A spokesperson for Dublin Airport said that a number of services are running several hours behind schedule.
They confirmed that there have been no cancellations so far today and advised passengers to travel as planned, while remaining in contact with their airline for the latest updates, reports Breaking News.
States of emergency have been declared in New York and New Jersey due to the extreme weather conditions.
According to the US National Weather Service, the New York City area was forecast to receive between two and five inches of snow, reports Breaking News.
The severe weather has caused significant disruption at the city’s three main airports, as well as at Philadelphia International Airport.
