Food Recall: LIDL recall fish product due to elevated levels of histamine




One of the country’s most popular supermarket chains LIDL have confirmed they are recalling a batch of fish “due to elevated levels of histamine”.

The supermarket chain they say they are recalling the 300g pack of Inismara Irish Mackerel Fillets – with approval number IE CK 0086 due to the high amounts of histamine.

In a statement LIDL say they are recalling the batch which has the sell by date of July 2nd as the product is not fit to be consumed.

They also say they aware that the product is well past its sell by date but some customers may still have the product as it can be frozen.

LIDL say they will offer full refunds to those who return the contaminated item.
