A 19-year-old man in the US state of Alabama is suing an abortion clinic after they aborted his ex-girlfriend’s baby against his wishes.
In what could be a defining case in the state’s history, the man Ryan Magers, from Madison County in Alabama, has decided to file a lawsuit against the Alabama Women’s Center for Reproductive Alternatives.
It is understood that Magers, is suing the clinic after they carried out the abortion when his unnamed ex presented at the clinic two years ago when she was 16.
The case has gained wide spread attention in the state as its the first that will give the feutus the same right’s as a living person.
Speaking to WAAY31, Magers said that his ex-girlfriend had the procedure when she was six weeks pregnant, despite his pleas for them to discuss what they should do before hand.
Magers also told the publication that he believes once conceived every baby has the right to life.
He also stated that he was bringing the case before the courts as he felt that he should represent men who want to have their baby.
However the girl’s father has said that his family have been left upset by the lawsuit as he claims Magers family supported whatever decision she made after getting pregnant.
The case could very well be definitive in Alabama as attorney’s representing Magers, said the current state law states that life begins at conception.
If successful Magers case could see a ban on abortion being implemented in the state of Alabama.
