Gardai and emergency services, including airport police rushed to an incident outside Terminal 1 on Sunday afternoon where a stabbing incident took place.
It’s understood that an Irish man, aged in his 50s, received apparent stab injuries during an incident that gardai have described as a public order incident.
The Irishman allegedly received stab wounds to his neck and stomach and he was rushed to Beaumont Hospital for treatment.
It’s understood that a foreign national, aged in his 40s, was arrested at the scene and remains this morning detained by gardai for questioning and investigations into the matter are ongoing.
