Former Brazilian leader Jair Bolsonaro accused of using fake Covid vaccine pass

In his first indictment as a far-right politician, former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro is accused of fabricating his Covid-19 immunisation records, reports Breaking News.

Bolsonaro and sixteen other people were accused in the federal police indictment made public by the Supreme Court of fabricating data to look as though the then-president, his daughter, twelve, and a few other people in his social circle had all gotten the Covid vaccination.

Bolsonaro and his assistants altered their immunisation records in order to “issue their respective (vaccination) certificates and use them to cheat current health restrictions,” according to police investigator Fabio Alvarez Shor, who also signed the indictment.

“The investigation found several false insertions between November 2021 and December 2022, and also many actions of using fraudulent documents,” Mr Shor added, reports Breaking News.
