
Former Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Tony Holohan, has announced that he will be taking up a new position as Associate Senior Lecturer at University College Dublin.
He becomes an associate professor of public health in the Faculty of Agricultural and Health Sciences.
According to RTE, UCD said that additional degrees are honors bestowed upon individuals whose appointment to the university “enhance the teaching or research profile of a School, Research Institute or College and contribute to the intellectual life of the university”.
UCD commended the appointment of Dr. Holohan as a very high profile person with a public health background.
