Former Fianna Fáil TD, Noel O’Flynn, said today that he will not contest for the General Election in Cork due to medical issues.
The Cork politician left Fianna Fáil earlier this year after it was rumoured that he was dissatisfied with party leader Micheál Martin, labelling the party as being “without traction or identity”.
O’Flynn revealed today that he had some medical issues that led to his decision not to contest the election, but he has detailed that he also “lost the hunger” for politics.
He has thanked the Cork community for their continuing support over his 23 years in politics.
