A former RTE journalist has been jailed for 18 months after a jury found him guilty of sexually assaulted a woman as she slept.
Mícheál Ó Leidhin worked as a political reporter for RTE Raidió na Gaeltachta in RTE.
It’s understood that the pair met each other on a night out where the woman went back to the man’s house.
According to RTE News, Mr O’Leidhin was handed a 18 month sentence with the final 3 months suspended given his previous good character.
