Gardaí in Co Kildare have confirmed that four men have been arrested following a public order incident over the weekend.
The arrests come after a man aged in his 50s sustained lacerations to his head and body during the incident which occurred over the weekend.
It is understood the man was taken to Portlaoise Hospital, before being transferred to Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital, however it is believed that his injuries are not life-threatening.
Gardaí say the four men have been taken to different Garda Stations for questioning and investigations are currently ongoing.
