The now infamous care home keeps hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

In a statement today, the HSE said: “As part of the ongoing Trust in Care investigation into Aras Attracta and following viewing of the RTÉ Investigations Unit footage by the investigation team, a number of additional staff will now form part of the Trust in Care investigation.”
“Due process is under way at this stage. The HSE wishes to reassure families and residents that plans are in place to ensure that there is no disruption in service to residents.”

So far, 14 workers at the Aras Attracta care home in Swinford, Co. Mayo, have been suspended on full pay following an abuse scandal brought to light by secret filming at the facility.

Five female staff members and one male employee were previously charged with assault incidents which allegedly took place at Bungalow Three.
