Four people arrested in connection with East Belfast murder

The PSNI have confirmed that they have arrested Four people on suspicion of murder after the death of a young man during a stabbing incident in East Belfast over the weekend.

The unidentified 21-year-old man was viciously attacked at Castlereagh Place, the news was confirmed by PSNI detective chief inspector Alan Dickson. Mr Dickson made a statement in relation to the attack in which he said: “Two men aged 21 and 25 and a 25-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently assisting police with their inquiries.”

It is believed that the victim was in a house at Castlereagh Place when an altercation broke out. The fight then proceeded out onto  the street. It is thought that the victim was then viciously stabbed numerous times. The PSNI also say that every attempt was made to resuscitate the young man but he sadly died in hospital a short time later.

The PSNI has appealed for information from anyone who was in the area at around 10pm last night.
