Four weather warnings remain in place as Ireland is battered and lashed by heavy rains and strong winds, but better weather is on the way

Four weather warnings remain in place today, as the country is battered and lashed by heavy rains and strong winds of up to 110km/h in places.

Today, Monday, is forecast to be a cold, blustery, and overall unpleasant day weather wise, with temperatures reaching 10C at best.

But it’s not all bad news, as Met Eireann has predicted that the weather will steadily improve from Tuesday onwards, with temperatures reaching 18C by Thursday and rise past 20C by the following day.
