The four-year-old who suffered serious head injuries at his home on Saturday has passed away in hospital. Gardai are probing the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The boy was found in an unresponsive state inside a home in the Rathbane area of Limerick, with injuries resulting from a ‘fall.’
He was rushed to University Hospital Limerick before being transferred to Temple St. Children’s Hospital in Dublin, where he passed away earlier today.
A post-mortem examination will determine the course of the investigation.
