Fourth Juvenile charged over assault of young boy in Sligo




A fourth male juvenile has been charged in connection with a serious assault that occurred at a service station on Mail Coach Road in Sligo town.

The incident happened on Tuesday, October 31, and the juvenile was arrested and charged on Friday.

Previously, three teenagers were charged at Sligo District Children’s Court in connection with the same incident. They were each released on bail and are due to appear in court again on January 18, 2024, reports RTE.

The fourth juvenile, who was also arrested in connection with the assault, has been charged and appeared in court on the morning of the arrest. The identities of the juveniles have not been disclosed due to legal reasons.

The case continues to develop as more details about the assault and the individuals involved come to light.
