The poor French priest who got shot while he was trying to lock up his Church has been named as Nikolas Kakavelakis.
France remains on red alert today as the priest was shot while locking up his Church in Lyon, South east France on Saturday afternoon at 4pm.
The orthodox priest was shot at least two times and is said to be in a grave danger of losing his life as a result of the shooting and is in intensive care in hospital.
French police confirmed that a man has been arrested for the shooting. They have advised the public to be on red alert for any such incidents.
