Free contraception is to be made available for women aged 17 to 25, it has emerged today.
Every woman in that age group can access contraception at no cost from today, even if they are not medical card holders.
The scheme, deemed The Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) (No 2) Act 2022, was signed into law by President Michael D Higgins.
