Over 5,000 donors donated money to Canadian truck drivers protesting vaccination regulations.
Supporters of the truckers of Canada’s anti-vaccine protest have raised more than $900,000 in bitcoin after the crowdfunding website GoFundMe blocked about $10 million in donations, according to fundraiser organisers.
After the GoFundMe funds were blocked, a Canadian bitcoiner group known as “HonkHonkHodl” launched a campaign on the crypto crowdfunding platform Tallycoin.
“Every transaction that’s done will be fully documented and transparent,” a liaison between the group and the truckers, known as NobodyCaribou on Twitter, said in a video.
The truckers say that they’re going to continue their protest and that freedom means more to them than anything else.
