A convoy of truckers are crossing Canada are still in Ottawa in a dramatic protest against Covid vaccine mandates.  It is estimated that there could be as many as 50,000 truckers taking part.

The protest, called the “Freedom Convoy” includes trucks of all kind from all over the country.  They are headed for Ottawa and a national protest.  The streets are lined with people who wanted to support the convoy which many say is galvanizing the country’s growing opposition to vaccine mandates.

Canada has been subjected to some of the most severe restrictions anywhere in the world, with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau piling on the pressure with what many feel are deeply divisive comments.  He has previously said that the unvaccinated are making people “angry” and “frustrated”.   According to Global News, he has said that the truckers taking part in the convoy hold “unacceptable views”.

The national protest is another problem for Trudeau, who has continually been forced to explain his actions to Canadians who are irate at the divisive nature of the restrictions.

It’s understood that some people in both America and Canada are considering holding protests outside the SuperBowl tonight in Los Angeles.
