A large anti-lockdown protest is planned for Saturday with thousands said to be ready to descend onto the nation’s capital for voice their concern and outrage at the prospect of further restrictions and lockdowns.
Over the past number of months, two separate Anti-Lockdown protests took place this in Dublin and Cork.
In Dublin, several hundred people gathered outside the Customs House for a Yellow Vests rally but the rally had been cancelled at the last minute.
Cork saw hundreds attend a rally on St. Patricks Street where speeches were delivered to the audience.
Gardai have opened investigations into the organisers of both protest rallies.
Saturday’s protest is said to be organised by various groups who say they expect thousands of people to turn out with support.
