Further disruption to the transport sector is possible in the coming weeks, as Bus Eireann drivers are known to be looking for substantial pay rises ‘to align with their counterparts at Dublin Bus’.
The latter cohort received a massive 11.6% pay rise in 2016.
Unions will soon engage in talks with Bus Eireann management to discuss the issue.
