In one of the most memorable matches in recent times, Galway have managed to somehow hold on to a narrow lead to claim victory against favourites Tipperary.
The final 10 minutes saw back and forth scores with Tipp almost managing to pull back a draw.
The final score of Tipp’s 3-16 wasn’t good enough to do that, as Galway managed to squeeze past with a solitary point if 0-26.
Galway now have the unenviable task of taking on superstars, Kilkenny in the final next month.
