Garbage: Some personal protective equipment from China isn’t fit for purpose

In what can only be described as utterly disgraceful, some of the PPE’s (personal protective equipment) that Ireland’s procurement team have managed to get aren’t fit for purpose.

It’s understood that the HSE are continuing to look for additional equipment so that all health care workers will be fully protected to fight coronavirus.

The main issue is that there’s quite literally a worldwide pandemic which has seen worldwide demand for PPE. It’s understood that some of the protective gowns that were flown into Ireland were far too small for health care workers to wear. Some masks also had issues staying in place.

There’s a serious shortage of goggles too where some health care workers are claiming they were advised to disinfect the same set of goggles that were only meant to be used once.
