Garda badly injured after he was stuck by e-bike in hit-and-run incident




A Garda officer was injured after being hit by an e-bike in Porterstown Park, Dublin 15, on Friday, reports Breaking News.

The incident occurred at around 2.30pm when the Garda approached two males on an e-bike and instructed them to dismount.

Instead, the e-bike sped up and struck the officer, who was later taken to hospital and treated for injuries that were not life-threatening. He has since been discharged, reports Breaking News.

The individuals on the e-bike left the scene and did not return.

Gardaí are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward, reports Breaking News.

They are also requesting that road users who may have recorded footage — including dash-cam video — from the area at the time share it with investigating officers.
