A garda officer has been hospitalized following a violent incident in Offaly.
The incident happened in Tullamore in the early hours of Sunday morning.
It’s understood that the officer suffered a fracture in one of his eye sockets and needed emergency surgery.
A male in his 20s was arrested in connection with this incident.
