A member of the Gardai is in hospital with serious injuries today, after being hit by a stolen vehicle he was trying to stop.
The incident happened in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin, at around 11pm last night.
The officer was rushed to Beaumont Hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries.
A man in his 20s has been arrested in relation to the incident.
