A motorist in Wexford is facing the prospect of receiving a hefty fine after he was caught with a forged motor insurance disc.
The comical moment which has since gone viral comes after Gardaí pulled over the offender during a routine check to see if everything was above board.
During the search the men in blue were not surprised to discover that the unsuspecting motorist had no Tax or NCT, but they were shocked to discover that the driver had a year out of date insurance disc with its date changed in ink.

In what can only be described as blatant and a rather poor attempt to cover up the fact he had no insurance the hapless driver will end up paying the price as the Gardaí slapped him with a €2,000 fine.
