Gardaí in Dublin are continuing their investigations after a young woman was shot Shangan area of Ballymun, on Thursday evening.
The investigation comes after the young woman believed to be aged 19 was admitted to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, with a gunshot wound to her leg.
Although the young woman’s condition is not thought to be life-threatening, Gardai say her injuries are serious.
It is not yet known what led to the shooting, but initial reports suggest it occurred during an altercation.
