Gardaí in Co Meath have launched an investigation after a 21-year-old man has been allegedly assaulted in the early hours of this morning.
It is understood the man was found lying on the ground on Watergate Street, in Navan at approximately 3am.
Although the man was initially taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, he has since been transferred to Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
