Gardai in Kilkenny have begun an investigation after a 12-year-old boy suffered a number of injuries following an attack on a playground.
According to Beat 102/103FM the investigation comes after the boy was attacked in Callan playground last Thursday June 25th.
It is understood that the boy suffered a number injuries to his head and back.
Gardai say the boy who is now recovering at home following the incident also suffered a number of broken teeth after the attack.
