Garda investigation underway after a boy, 8, is injured in road traffic collision

Gardai in Cork have begun an investigation after a young boy was injured following a road traffic incident.

It is understood that the 8 year old boy was injured following a collision with a car in the Pouladuff Road area at approximately 2.50 pm on Sunday afternoon.

Gardai say the young boy was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment on non-life threatening injuries.
