Gardaí in Dublin have begun an investigation after a man aged in his 50s was seriously injured following an alleged assault over the weekend.
It is understood the investigation comes after the man was allegedly attacked on Fleet Street, Temple Bar, at approximately 7:25pm on Sunday evening.
Gardaí say the man was taken to hospital following the incident, but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
