Gardaí in Coolock North Dublin have launched an investigation this evening after a man sustained a number of gunshot wounds in a shooting incident this evening.
It is believed the man has been taken a nearby hospital after the incident which occurred in the Moateview Gardens area at approximately 8pm this evening.
Gardaí say an investigation is currently ongoing and the man remains in serious condition in hospital.
