Gardaí in Dublin have launched an investigation after a man aged in his 20s was shot in the city on Thursday evening.
The investigation comes after the young man was shot in the leg, near Horse Yard, beside Thomas Street at approximately 9pm.
Officers investigating the incident say the man was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, although his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
They also say no arrests have yet been made and an investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
